Kingfisher Open Memorial Volleyball Tournament
Clark E. Fisher
An athlete and a non-smoker, was diagnosed with lung cancer in early 2009. On November 12, 2009, he lost his battle with this disease.
For over twenty years, Clark was an avid volleyball player and coach. His sons, Ryan and Michael, also developed a passion for the game. They played at York Suburban High School, club leagues and in college. And many times, with their dad.
To honor his memory, friends of Clark Fisher started the Clark E. Fisher Memorial and the 1st Annual Kingfisher Memorial Volleyball Tournament. We hope to make this an annual event. Clark loved his family, friends and volleyball, so we’ve decided to bring together all the people and things that were important to Clark with the goal of helping other cancer patients. The proceeds raised at this event will be donated to the “Cancer Patient Help Fund” and “Lung Cancer Foundation of America.”
Please join us in raising money to help other cancer patients and fund lung cancer research through the Clark E. Fisher Memorial. We want people to know that lung cancer is not just a smoker’s disease.
